Going the extra mile for Scottish salmon

We’re on the road again, this time visiting beautiful Boston Massachusetts for Seafood Expo North America on 11-13 March.

Figures released by HMRC last month showed record figures for exports of Scottish Salmon, up 35% from 2016 to £600m. The US remains the largest market, with exports worth £193m.

In North America, as in markets around the world, Scotland’s number 1 food export is valued by chefs and home cooks alike for its quality, taste, convenience and versatility. Consumers care about the provenance and welfare of the fish, but Scottish salmon is also a firm favourite with those who care about their health and how well they feed their families. It is high in protein, with many beneficial vitamins and minerals and a major source of essential Omega 3s.

Health & wellness blogger and Mum of two Mummy JoJo cares passionately about what she feeds herself and her family.

We invited her to see how Scottish salmon farmers go the extra mile to ensure they produce the healthiest, tastiest, most nutritious salmon in the world.
