Hong Kong gets a taste for salmon

Loch Duart Salmon will join the Scottish Pavilion this week to promote the Scottish salmon industry at HOFEX 2017, Asia’s leading food and hospitality tradeshow.

The event will showcase Scotland’s number one food export, and the UK’s favourite fish, highlighting to crowds of buyers from around the world that Scotland’s reputation for producing high quality, delicious and sustainable salmon has driven sales across the continent.

Scott Landsburgh, chief executive of Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation said:

“Hong Kong imports 90 per cent of its seafood products and is the trading hub for Asia so the scope for new customers is huge. I anticipate that Loch Duart Salmon will enjoy a very interesting tradeshow that will offer lots of new business leads”.
