Salmon and sport work well together in Orkney

Scottish Sea Farms has signed up to a 3-year sponsorship deal worth £15,000 to support The Orkney RFC Community Rugby Project which is is now in its 7th year.

This represents a big proportion of the total running costs of the project which ensures young people throughout the islands have access to the sport, with a Rugby Development Officer and a Modern Apprentice adding rugby and healthy eating to the school curriculum from primary to senior level and helping out at local clubs. Around 900 people in Orkney are now able to enjoy all the benefits this brings.

Salmon and sport go well together

School tag rugby festivals are organised twice a year, bringing the islanders together and fostering team spirit, along with a healthy lifestyle.
