Scottish salmon farm sea lice reporting – February 2018

The health and welfare of farmed salmon is of paramount importance to Scottish salmon producers and the industry is working hard to keep lice levels as low as possible.

The table below indicates that overall industry lice average for February 2018 was 0.37 adult female lice per salmon. This is the lowest February figure since 2013 when levels peaked. The latest data shows continuing improvement in lice management in the industry and the underlying trend for lice remains downwards.
