The health and welfare of farmed salmon is of paramount importance to Scottish salmon producers and the industry works hard to keep lice levels as low as possible.
The table below indicates that the industry lice average for October 2018 was 0.63 adult females.
The lice average for October 2018 was the lowest October figure reported since reporting began in 2013.
On the whole, lice levels during 2018 have been some of the lowest since 2013.
