Leading chefs from Scotland, the UK and France have sung the praises of Scottish salmon at recent events.
At the Scottish Chefs Conference in Glasgow some of Scotland’s most successful chefs watched as catering students undertook the Salmon Challenge.
The competition followed a visit by 23 Master Chefs of France who visited a salmon farm in Argyll to see for themselves what it takes to produce some of ‘the world’s best farmed salmon’. These world-class chefs have an affiliation with Scottish salmon that stretches over 20 years.
The Master Chefs of Great Britain selected Scottish salmon once again for their special showcase dish at their annual luncheon proving that Scottish salmon is a must-have ingredient for culinary specialists.
Scott Landsburgh, chief executive of the Scottish Salmon Producers’ Organisation said:
“The Scottish salmon industry has received many accolades over the years and is proud to be associated with well-respected chefs who hold the product in such high regard. There is a great story of provenance and farming excellence to tell and this global enthusiasm is shared by many Scottish salmon ambassadors”.
